On Sept. 4, it was officially announced that HSSC assassin is back. The HSSC Assassin event will take place on Sept. 11-15 at school.
In Assassin, students are assigned a target, and their mission is simple: eliminate their target by taking a selfie with them during free periods–office hours, lunch, or activity period. One by one, victims caught in photos will be dropped from the competition, and those who succeed will advance. The ultimate goal of Assassin is to be “the last man standing,” which will come with a reward.
Last year, Assassin took the SIS high school community by storm. An abundant amount of students from the four grade levels enthusiastically took part in the competition.
“A lot of my friends were participating, and when I got my assigned target it was my friend, which was more fun,” Stella Eu (10), a student who participated in Assassin last year, said “In the middle of free periods we would be running around the school, trying to not get caught.”
One of the most exhilarating aspects of Assassin is the competition for the “most kills” award. While staying alive is crucial, racking up eliminations will put students in the running for the title.
It is important to hone strategies to survive, while at the same time seizing every opportunity to capture the perfect selfie on the path to victory.
