On Nov. 7, the cast of the 2023-’24 high school production, “The Addams Family,” performed a preview in front of the entire high school student body and staff during activity period in the auditorium. Wearing show t-shirts and microphones, the cast performed the opening song “When You’re an Addams.”
This preview included all cast members, choreography, and live singing. Steven Kim (12), who played Gomez, explained the preparation behind the upcoming performance.
“I was mostly shocked at how intense the audience’s reactions were, especially for the characters of Gomez and Morticia,” Haven Cha (10), cast member, said. “They seemed to enjoy it a lot, which really lifted our spirits. I am so excited for the actual show later this week and I hope that we get to perform in front of a big audience.”
The production will take place on Thursday, Nov. 9, and Friday, Nov. 10. The showing on Thursday will begin at 3:30 p.m., making it accessible to students. On Friday, the showing will start at 6:30 p.m. Both showings will be free to watch and extra credit for attending the production may be offered to students of select classes.
