The High School Student Council (HSSC) began its annual pumpkin pie sales on Nov. 13 at the third-floor Snack Shack, aiming to cultivate a cozy autumnal atmosphere at SIS.
“The Snack Shack has better pumpkin pie than a lot of the other cafes in Korea,” Olivia Lee (10) said. “I like that we have annual pumpkin pie sales because pumpkin pie is usually very hard to find in Korea.”
The pumpkin pies are sold at the price of ₩3,000 during office hours. It has proven a popular snack, as it currently garners more attention and profits compared to other menu options.
“The HSSC recently started to sell pumpkin pies during office hours, and the popularity of the pumpkin pie sales has been remarkable,” Leah Kim (9), HSSC member, said. “When I worked in the Snack Shack for my shift, almost everyone who came to order something, including students and teachers, wanted a piece of pumpkin pie.”
High school students can visit the Snack Shack anytime through Nov. 13-22 to sample the popular dessert.
