Recently there has been a lot of controversy involving the Jan. 2023 presidential elections within the United States. The election came at a time where political turmoil was high
People were fully expecting former President Donald Trump to lose over the other candidates, most notably Biden and Haley. However, the United States shocked the world when most of the states showed heavy support for President Trump, with Former President Biden in second, and Haley in 3rd.
The results of the vote bring to light just how much support candidate Trump has on the battlefield to become president, and how close Biden and Haley are to overtaking him. This reveals that the US political system as of now is quite unexpected.
If Trump does indeed win then it is clear proof of the recurring trend of US poll analysts failing to make accurate predictions about upcoming results. However, this is unlikely. Despite Trump having a strong support base. Although the current results lean towards a strong Republican (Trump) victory for the first time in 20 years, the Democratic Party (Biden & Haley) still have a chance of winning the election once more. The problem is as of now, Donald Trump is leading by at least 16 delegates to Nikki Haley who stands the best chance at beating him.
