On Nov. 11, Netflix released the final trailer for “Squid Game 2”. The famous show, directed by Hwang dong-hyuk, is expected to return with a highly anticipated season following a successful precedent. 

The first season left many fans speculating about the plot for the second season as the first was left on a cliffhanger. Seong Gi-hun, the protagonist of the show, was left to take down the organization behind the deadly games after winning the prize. With this ending, the fans are predicting season 2 to portray the shadowy figures directing the games. 

As many of the fans know, most of the main characters died in the first season. However, even with the decrease in the number of original cast members, Seong Gi-hun, Lee Byung-hun, and Ji-yeon are going to return for the second season. Despite the lack of previous characters, the addition of new faces are exciting the fans to add new dynamics to the already highly entertaining show. 

As of now, Netflix has announced that Squid Game Season 2 will premiere on Dec. 26. Although this date is subject to change, the production is in progress and updates of Squid Game on social media continue to build anticipation amongst the viewers. 

“Squid Game” was one of the most-watched shows in the history of Netflix, and with this, the viewers are waiting to see a season with maintained tension from the previous season. Not only this, but fans are eager to see the build up and expansion of the deadly story of Squid Game.
