Even within leadership teams, there are leaders. Last month, the High School Student Council (HSSC) held an election for its executive positions, namely, the President, Secretary, Treasurer, Project Coordinator, and Public Relations officer positions. This year, a diverse range of applicants applied for the HSSC executive roles, including a substantial number of freshmen and sophomore candidates, some of whom successfully received positions.
“I have great confidence in the leadership team this year,” Chengxuan Jin (11), HSSC Secretary, said. “There is a good mix of upperclassmen and, surprisingly, underclassmen, too. This way we can be sure to train the underclassmen and get them into sync with things throughout their Student Council careers.”
By incorporating all grade levels into the decision-making process, the Student Council is sure to represent the interests of the entire high school body more effectively.
For the 2025 year, Yeonjae Kim (11) will be serving as the HSSC president, Woosung Choi (11) as the project coordinator, Dom Min (10) as the treasurer, Chengxuan Jin (11) as the secretary, and Minjoo Kim (9) as the public relations officer.
