Single’s Inferno recently announced its production of the fifth season after the latest one ending in spring of 2024. Produced originally by Netflix, Single’s Inferno is a reality survival romance show where a total of 12 contestants compete to form an ideal couple and a match.
Six contestants of each gender are isolated in an island called inferno and complete missions in order to receive the tickets for paradise with a partner you choose. Each mission is purposefully designed to illustrate the romantic tension between the contestants.
Often, the male and female contestants try to cross a shaking bridge set above a swimming pool together. There also are small tasks like sending messages or the first impression vote where candidates explicitly display their romantic interest.
“I watched Single’s Inferno throughout its season and my favorite season was the first one,” Sungjun Hur (11), avid watcher of the series, said. “The first season was my personal favorite and I hope this season is also fun.”
Some individuals are suspected to be a part of the cast. Minji Kim, a star Korean track athlete who became famous as Aespa Karina look alike is one of the participants. There are also famous influencers, sports players, and violinists: Koen Kim, Danny Koo, and more are to be released. Despite the long wait ahead, the fifth season is gathering anticipation and excitement from the public.
