On Jan. 30, actor Song Joong-ki announced on his fan site that he and British actress Katy Louise Saunders officially tied the knot and are expecting a child. This announcement was released a month after his agency confirmed that Song was in a romantic relationship with Saunders.

Saunders has been seen with Song, even during his former relationship with Song Hye-kyo, so fans speculate she has been close friends with the actor for a few years. The couple first appeared in public together when Saunders accompanied Song to a press conference in Singapore in early December. 

Fans who have been following Song since his marriage to Song Hye-kyo had mixed reactions to the announcement, with some expressing that the marriage and pregnancy feel too rushed and others showing excitement for the couple. 

“I definitely feel like the news was very sudden, especially because his agency only announced that he was in this relationship a month ago,” Grace Choi (10), Song Joong-ki fan, said. “However, I am happy for him and his new wife, and I hope other fans also have it in their hearts to just support him.”
