SIS competed against SFS varsity and JV basketball teams at home court on Jan. 20.

The varsity teams played in Tiger Gym 1 and the JV games occurred in Tiger Gym 2, with the varsity girls and JV boys teams playing in the first two games. The varsity boys played a tight game, eventually securing a win of 46-42. The varsity girls fell short, ultimately losing the match with a final score of 46-25.

In Tiger Gym 2, the JV girls team sealed their win against SFS with a final score of 39-26, while the JV boys team lost by 57-27. 

“I feel like this season has gone very well, and I could see that all of the players and coaches were passionate and worked hard,” Haven Cha (10), varsity cheerleader, said. “Even during time outs, I could tell that the teams were tightly-knit groups.” 

Students are encouraged to support the varsity teams on Jan. 26-27 and the JV teams on Feb. 2-3 for the KAIAC basketball tournament.
